Granmaw's Visit

When I opened my eyes this time, I remembered this is the day I've been waiting for, I think. BB McPup is finely gonna see my granmaw, I think. My mom told me when it was dark that when something called tomorrow gets here my granmaw would come from that Florida place. I think it was that tomorrow thing when I woke up because the lights was on and I was really hungry so I was sleeping for a long time, I think. Mom gave me breakfast and then opened the dor for me so I could watch for granmaw. I'm still sittin' here watchin' cause mom said dad went to a place called airport to give granmaw a ride. I guess she didn't wanna walk from Florida. I hope she will wanna walk with me.

Then I saw a granmaw coming up the walk and it mite be my granmaw 'cause it looks like she mite be carrying her bed bag. Maby she doesn't know we got her a bed here at my house. I barked for mom to come open the dor and hoped the granmaw didn't think I was barkin' at her! That's my mom opening the dor and the granmaw must be mine cause my barkin' didn't make her not put her hand out. Peoples can be funny that way, I don't know why. Yup, I can tell for sure now. That's my granmaw aw rite.

Granmaw's finely here and I'm so happy.

See! Granmaw tossed my ball and I brung it back like dad taught me. BB McPup is smart 'cause my dad said so but I don't know what 'smart' means. Peoples talk funny sometimes. Maby I can teach my dad to bark some day.

I couldn't wait to show granmaw my stick and my ball. I was happy when she wanted to play with me. I love my big stick but that's for chewing on and I can chase my ball 'cause I had my surgrie and don't fall down no more and I gotta big yard at my house.

I was teasing granmaw. I wouldn't give her my ball back. But granmaw just laughed so I did so she could throw it again.

Granmaw got me new toys. Here is something called a teddy she got. But I guess granmaw forgot that BB McPups chew up stuff as fast as they can.

But only if it's BB's toy. I don't chew my mom and dad's toys 'cause dad mite not give me my biskit if I do. Biskits are only for rewards. I think that's what dad calls it. But it means bein' a good BB. But the teddy thing was BB's toy so I chewed the stuffin' outta it in about twenty-twelve minutes. Granmaw laughed again. My granmaw laughs a lot.

Granmaw has been at BB's house for fortyteen weeks. I think that is what dad told me. I'm so happy mom and dad 'dopted her too. She went away for a while and I thought they took her to the humane shelter where they got me but dad said no she went to some place called an island that was long by a big city with lots of peoples so I couldn't go on the kamute train. Whatever that is. I was scared she'd get lost on the street like BB did once. But then granmaw came back again in the dark and I got to get outta my bed. I was soooo happy granmaw was at my house forever and ever now.

We have so much fun walkin' in a place with lotsa trees and good smells. I think dad said is was some place named woods. We play ball and stick and chew up teddy. We went in the car and got ice cream and I got my very own cup. BB never had ice cream before and it was better'n my biskit. Dad said BB isn't sposed to eat peoples food and he don't eat my biskits either, so it must true. Granmaw said I could for one time cause it was a special reward. Mom said so too so I musta been a real good BB McPup that day!

Dark is here. I hope granmaw comes. BB's scared cause granmaw's bed bag is gone and BB isn't sposed to be on peoples beds not even granmaw's bed. BB won't get a biskit. Mom knows I miss granmaw tho. Dad does too cause dad said one day we can talk to granmaw on the speeker fone. I don't know how granmaw fits in the speeker fone but I guess peoples can do stuff BB McPups can't. There's peoples in the speeker fone when dad is doin' his work stuff. I hope mom please lets me stay on granmaw's bed til dark is over just in case. This is BB's beggin' face.

BB's a tiredest McPup. I'm gonna go to sleep now and wait for granmaw to come back. I'm gonna dream of how grateful I am for my peoples family who brought me home from the shelter place and the nice peoples that helped me there and the docter who fixed me so I don't fall down anymore and I'm gonna hope for all those other McPups who are still waiting for a peoples family to 'dopt them and maby a granmaw of their own.
