BB McPup's Surgery

Hi there! It's me, BB McPup, again. I hope you peoples have enjoyed my new innernet place and my story 'bout my mom and dad and my granmaw and the Humane Society. I asked my mom if we could share some of the pictures of my surgrie story so she did somethin' called emailed to my granmaw. Remember, I told you about my bad leg and somethin' my mom calls knees. I guess my knees didn't want to stay where they was sposed to. I don't know 'bout knees, only legs and hips. And, falling down when they don't work right. But, now I had my surgrie and I can play with my stick. I just can't run very fast. But, I'm not gonna run away anyways so that's okay.

Number one, I'll show you how I swim and then me gettin' better after surgrie. You will see how bad I wanted to get better cause I had to have my leg broked two times! But, it was worth it 'cause now I can play with my stick and my ball without fallin' down. I love my stick bestest of all my toys because I found it outside in my yard when my dad was playin' with me.

I have to get back to the front door now and see if granmaw is comin' down the path yet. She's comin' a long ways from Florida to see me. That's a big present for me to have a peoples come a far way just to see me. But I think granmaw wants to see my mom and dad, too.

I'm so happy the Humane Society brought me such a nice family of peoples. Maby you can find a BB McPup at your own Humane Society where you live. But, you don't have to have BB for a name. You peoples can name your BB McPup anything you want to.

You can see a little here how my hips and back legs were. My kneecaps floated from side to side. The docter said some dogs had kneecaps that would go to one side once in a while, but he never saw a dog where the kneecaps went to BOTH sides and NEVER stayed where they're sposed to be. I'd go a few steps and fall down. 'specially if I ran, I couldn't walk far, neither. My little legs would just give out.

But I didn't cry about my little leggies. That's just the way it was and I had fun however I could! This is how I got around a lot before the surgrie. I'd just swim across the carpet, pulling with my my front paws.

Had surgrie on both back legs. The docter broke the bone below the knee cap and repositioned it so the knee caps would stay closer to where they're sposed to.

Still not doing well; left leg not quite right. I'm kinda sad.

Follow-up with my docter. The left kneecap is back out of place (points straight out to the side, 90 degrees from where it should be). Will have to break my leg again. :(
